Language Barrier
A downloadable game for Windows
Summary
Wanna learn some basic Japanese? Well, now you…kinda can? Welcome to Language Barrier where you play as a foreigner entering a Japanese game show. This game is a 2D text-based escape room game where you must find the translation for the objects in the room. To escape, you must answer questions by translating the words on the screen with the translation you have on hand.
This game features Japanese Hiragana, Katakana, Romaji and English. Audio is also available for learning.
Objective
While in the room, type anything you see (except walls and floors) in the text box and receive a translation. Once done, proceed to the door by typing "door" in the textbox and answer the question on the screen. You have unlimited tries.
The game has 6 stages with a 20 minutes time limit and the game is over when the timer reaches 0. You can always open the help menu or inventory to check for translations.
